Nicholas Grandl is an artist who has loved creating art for as long as he can remember. He graduated from Oshkosh North High School in 2011. Art has always been a big part of his life and runs deep in his family. Both his grandfather and his mother were artists who inspired him from a young age.
Nick remembers watching his grandfather paint very large canvases, which left a lasting impression on him. He also remembers his late mother’s love for painting the fall season, especially the warm and rich colors of autumn. These memories continue to shape Nick’s own artwork today, and he is proud to carry on his family’s artistic tradition.
Outside of art, Nick loves all sports, with a special passion for college football. His favorite team is the Washington Huskies, whom he has followed closely since they joined the Big Ten in 2024.
Nick enjoys working with oil pastels and paint, and his specialties are landscapes and sunsets. His goal as an artist is to raise money through his art so he can continue to buy supplies and keep creating. For Nick, art is not just a hobby—it is a way to honor his family, express himself, and share the beauty he sees in the world.
